If you’re looking for ‘done-for-you’ video testimonials, beware of the charlatans that are setting up shop to provide what they consider a valuable service.

New companies are popping up which will provide you with a video testimonial for your new product or service for a small sum of cash. These bullshit outfits are using actors who will fabricate a testimonial for you because you don’t have any. I apologize for the strong language but they really are bullshit artists of the highest order and here’s why:

They say that because you have a brand new company with a product or service that doesn’t have any customers or testimonials, they can help by:

• making you appear legitimate
• providing you with credibility
• using English speaking actors
• making their testimonials appear authentic

So what they’re suggesting you do is to start your marketing based on a lie!

Don’t Start Your Marketing Based On a Lie!

Customer testimonials are all about having genuine buyers tell their story and rave about specifically how your product or service helped them. Do you want to start your testimonial strategy with an outrageous lie?

These companies are bullshit artists who are preying on new businesses, offering to take their money in exchange for a so-called solution that would destroy their credibility, not add to it. This is no way to begin the use of testimonials unless what you are selling is also bullshit!

If you want to reinforce why your product or service works so well then get someone to use it – for free if necessary – and GET THAT TESTIMONIAL!

There are so many smarter ways to get testimonials than faking them. Fake testimonials are an oxymoron. Don’t make the mistake of hiring these shysters, just because they are offering a short-cut to your first testimonial for a handful of dollars. You will destroy your reputation before you even have one.

That’s why these ‘done-for-you’ video testimonial services are a stinking, steaming pile of garbage.
